My name is Julie Caterini

​I’m a mother to three incredible daughters who surprise, challenge and inspire me daily. Art and creativity are my passions, infusing my life with a sense of wonder that I believe is essential to our well-being. Nature, whether it's a serene forest or a peaceful body of water, has always been my sanctuary, offering unparalleled healing and solace. ​My personal journey with mental wellness has deeply motivated me to support others in their own paths to self-discovery and growth.

I’m currently qualifying for my Bachelor's degree in Counselling Psychology and hold a diploma in Social Service Work. I’m registered with OCSSW and OSSWA, fully insured, and committed to delivering high-quality care. ​I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am certified in Somatic Embodiment and Regulation Strategy, Mindfulness, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and Suicide Prevention Training (START) from LivingWorks.​

My approach to wellness counselling is holistic, integrating the mind, body, and spirit. I strive to create a safe and validating environment where clients feel truly heard. My goal is to empower you to recognize and harness your inner strengths. I firmly believe that within each of us lies the capability to navigate and overcome life’s challenges.

My approach to holistic care is founded on the belief that true healing emerges from addressing the interconnected nature of the mind, body, and spirit. Each person’s unique experiences, emotions, and challenges shape their journey, and I strive to honour this complexity by moving beyond traditional talk therapy to engage the whole person.

I integrate cognitive insights, physical awareness, and spiritual exploration to support meaningful, transformative growth. By incorporating mindfulness, somatic practices, and self-awareness techniques, I create a space where clients can reconnect with their inner wisdom, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of wholeness.

I view clients as the experts in their own lives and see my role as a guide in helping them identify their strengths, clarify their values, and set goals that align with their authentic selves. Through this process, I empower clients to develop confidence, embrace change, and overcome obstacles with a renewed sense of purpose.

 

Central to my practice is the therapeutic relationship, which I believe is a powerful tool for healing. By fostering trust, respect, and collaboration, I provide a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, validated, and encouraged to explore their vulnerabilities. This partnership allows for a deeper connection to the healing process and paves the way for meaningful transformation.
